You know, the show on discovery channelDo you believe the stories in the show A HAUNTING are true???
100 percent made up crap.....Do you believe the stories in the show A HAUNTING are true???
I think they are very exaggerated for dramatic effect, but there's probably an element of truth.
I'd say they're based on actual events, but have been given the traditional hollywood treatment.
Nope..

';If you don't believe in hell or heaven , you haunt'; is that true? lmo?
Please answer. IDK my friend told me this %26amp; idk if it's true. Lmao. Haha pllease help i need 2 know (: thx';If you don't believe in hell or heaven , you haunt'; is that true? lmo?
ha ha that's funny
nonreligion people are so funny';If you don't believe in hell or heaven , you haunt'; is that true? lmo?
No, a haunting occurs when the spirit does not wish to go onto the next plane of existence. Either there is unfinished business here or they are happy enough in their current surroundings.
Poltergeist activity occurs when the living have a clash with the spirit who wishes to remain. It is almost like being evicted from your home, it causes anger and resentment. Just ask anyone who has ever been evicted from their house, home or apartment. It doesn't make any difference as to who is at fault. They is always going to be some anger as well as resentment here.
I don't believe there is a heaven or hell, but I do think there is a next plane of existence %26amp; some folks just don't want to go. I suppose even in death, there is that fear of the unknown.
not true.
Bible says heaven and hell are real places and you will be going to one of them......does not matter if you believe in heaven and hell or not....when you die you will be either with Jesus in paradise or on your way to hell......your choice.
it isn't true there is a heaven and hell and if you believe that Christ saved us then you go to heaven if you don't believe you go to hell that's it plain and simple
Tell your little Christian friend to read answers to these questions.
Maybe it'll bring him back down to Earth. What a cocky little kid.
What does your friend know? Did your friend talk to God to get this information? NO. Stop being so gullible.
Your friend is so very uninformed about things of this nature.

If it is on the East Coast the it probably is, because there are a lot of civil war cemeteries there and a lot of restless spirits.

yes it's based on the very first episode of the show, ';A Haunting'; If you'd like, you can watch that show on Discovery Channel, at 1:00/ 2:00 PM Central Standard Time.
';A Haunting in Connecticut'; is the very first episode of the series, and it is based on a real event.
';A Haunting'; is a show, where people want to tell about their encounters with the supernatural, and the crew hires actors to re-make the events. Is the movie ';The Haunting in Connecticut'; really based on a true event?
Yea the first person was pretty harsh. . .but
Yes it is very much based on a real event here it is. . .
Carmen's family had been going through some tough times when she happened upon the ';for rent'; sign outside the house. Her oldest son was undergoing treatment for cancer, the family was in dire straits financially, and they needed an affordable place to live. Carmen felt her prayers had been answered when she discovered that the monthly rent was well within the price range that her family could manage to pay for a decent and comfortable place to call home.
Shortly after moving into the house, Carmen made a shocking discovery. In the basement, partially hidden under building and construction materials, she found tools and equipment that are typically used by morticians. Carmen quickly came to the horrifying realization that she and her family were now residing in a former funeral home!
It didn't take long for darkness to descend upon the family. One day, as Carmen was mopping the kitchen floor, the water suddenly turned blood red and had a putrid odor. Crucifixes that hung in various places throughout the house began to simply disappear.
Carmen's niece was living with the family at the time. One night, while sleeping, she was physically assaulted by unseen hands that groped and grabbed at her body. A rosary that she had placed around her neck was violently yanked by the abusive entity and the beads scattered all across the floor.
Several demonic entities made their evil presence known during the ensuing weeks.
';They were incredibly powerful,'; Carmen remembers. ';One of the demons was very thin, with high cheekbones, long black hair and pitch black eyes. Another had white hair and eyes, wore a pinstriped tuxedo, and his feet were constantly in motion.';
Carmen's formerly ';preppy'; oldest son soon began wearing only dark clothing and suffered dramatic personality changes. He became increasingly angry and violent and he started writing dark, disturbing poetry. One of the poems that he wrote contained graphic descriptions of sexual activity with dead bodies.
The family frequently smelled foul odors in the house, including the scents of rotting flesh and excrement. At one point, a dark mist enveloped Carmen and her niece while they were together in the kitchen, disorienting and paralyzing both of them. Terrified, Carmen began to recite The Lord's Prayer and the demon released the women from its hellish clutches.
Carmen was at her wit's end. Her family was clearly in danger, as the demonic infestation grew worse with each passing day. Desperate for relief, she telephoned renowned paranormal experts, Ed and Lorraine Warren, and begged them for help.
The Warrens, perhaps best known for their involvement in the much-publicized Amityville Horror case, agreed to investigate. Ed, Lorraine and their team of investigators literally moved into the Snedeker's home for an astounding nine weeks in order to witness for themselves all the supernatural events that were allegedly occurring.
John Zaffis, nephew of Ed Warren, was part of the investigative team. John recalls that, shortly after arriving, members of the team began to be ';touched'; by the entities. He also remembers the vile odors that frequently permeated the house.
';The situation was pretty chaotic by the time we arrived,'; John recounts. ';One night, I was sitting at the dining room table, reviewing some notes that I'd made. Suddenly, the room grew bitterly cold and I could sense a presence around me. I called out to the others, who were sleeping in the living room, but I couldn't get anyone to wake up. I looked up the stairs and saw an apparition starting to form. The air was filled with a disgusting odor, so foul that I could hardly breathe. As the apparition took shape, I could hear a noise that sounded like thousands of flapping wings coming from behind it. I'd never been more terrified in my life!';
A Catholic priest was enlisted to bless the house and even perform the sacred rites of mass therein, but the negative activity continued. Finally, the decision was made to conduct an exorcism on the house. The demonic forces railed against the exorcism, but following the ritual, ';the house definitely felt lighter and we all felt a sense of calm and relief,'; John Zaffis remembers.
The Snedeker family resided in the haunted house for two-and-a-half years before finally moving. To the best of her knowledge, Carmen states, ';no one who has lived there since [her family left the premises] has experienced any paranormal activity.';
It has been almost two decades since these events
Rooker, The movie, ';A Haunting in Connecticut,'; is based on what occurred in the ';Southington home'; that inspired the movie. Strange things happened in that house in the 1980.s when the Snedeker family, claimed their son would hear strange noises in his basement bedroom which once held casket displays.
I do believe this story is based on what happened during that time.
Yes, I remember they aired a show on the A%26amp;E channel I think and it showed re-enactments of the hauntings and the stories from the real people who actually lived in the home. But yup it's based on an actual true event!
It is suppose to be based on a real event.

The Exorcist. Rent the original one, the one that came out first. No prequel or sequel just the first one is really good, you're gonna like it if you into ghosts and spirits thing. Let me know what you think!
okay i'm into horror big but what scared me sh***** was the exorcism of emily rose because that sh** is real
Ghostbusters :).
If you are talking of scary movies, my favorite is The Others
I would have to say ';The Entity'; the reason is that it is based on a true story and also the violence that the spirit can use.
Amityville horror. I went to the house where that supposedly took place and I couldn't sleep for weeks. We got our pictures taken in front of the house and we all showed up in the pictures but the house wasn't in them and we had our backs up against the house.
Ghostbusters--- it got the whole paranormal in the mainstream-- :D

Was the movie The Haunting in Connecticut really true?
i know based on a true story means some of it is fake, but what was real? or did they make it up for people to see the movie like they did with the Blair Witch Project??Was the movie The Haunting in Connecticut really true?
According to wikipedia it was very loosely based around claims made by the Snedeker family in the 80s, but for the most part people investigating the claims (including the son in the family) feel that it was nothing but a hoax by the parents to make money. Was the movie The Haunting in Connecticut really true?
i forget what all was real or fake but after i saw the movie a while back, i researched the crap out of it. look it up online, its pretty cool facts... another crazy thing to look up is the true story of the haunting of emily rose... awesome stuff

Is the movie ';The Haunting'; based on a true story?
At the end, it said ';Based on a True Story';, and I'm freaked. I watched it so long ago, but it popped up in my mind just know, and I'm just freaked. I don't know if that was just to make it scary, and not real. If it is real, does anyone know what happened to that family. Someone in my school said it was his mom's friend, but I'm not sure to trust him. Someone just please answer! Is the movie ';The Haunting'; based on a true story?
Normally scary movies and books always say that.. I doubt that it's real.. It's probably not. The stuff that happens in it is literally impossible! Is the movie ';The Haunting'; based on a true story?
If you mean the 1962 version that starred Julie Harris, then no, it's not based on a true story but on a novel by the great Shirley Jackson. I don;t recall seeing that at the end of the film though so you might be thinking of another film. The Haunting of Hill House is the original title

The Haunting In CT is this movie really based on a true story ?
is this movie really based on real story is there like an evidence of it ??The Haunting In CT is this movie really based on a true story ?
Just like ';The Strangers';, it was INSPIRED by a true story. Obviously there is no hard evidence that ghosts and such haunted the house that was a former funeral parlor.
It's based on a family's account of strange occurrences happening to their son and daughter after moving into the suburban home back in the 80's. I think the kids' room use to be the embalming room or something.
It's just a horror movie guy. Just like Amityville horror and Poltergeist. No big whoop. The Haunting In CT is this movie really based on a true story ?
I don't know the details of what they say happened there because I haven't seen the movie yet, but what I read about it was that people believed that the house was haunted until the late eighties(if I remember correctly) until there was a senace performed. Since then I guess the family that lives there claims there is nothing ';haunted'; about the house.
I don't believe that it was a ';true story';, and I doubt there is evidence to support it. Just like most ';haunted houses';.
If I had a dime for every time a question was asked ';is (insert movie title here) really based on a true story)';, I'd be rich. People get confused between based and inspired. These events were loosely based on a true story. Approximately seventy percent of the events were probably false and added for the movie. I think the directors meant to say inspired because it would resolve in less confusion and the filmmakers would actually be correct.
';Based on a true story'; can mean just about anything. The Amityville Horror is based upon the story of a guy who went nuts and killed his whole family. There is no proof that he was possessed by any demons or ghosts but they can still claim ';based upon'; simply because part of the story really happened.
Technically yes, it is, but the people that live there now (not the family the movie is based on) and the neighbors say it never happened. The current residents say the house is not haunted, and now they have people literally coming up to their windows and knocking on their front door and being completely inappropriate.
No evidence, just claims.
Several sources have claimed that the story of The Haunting in Connecticut is actually a fabrication. With regards to the accuracy of his portrayal of the events that the movie is based on; the writer of A Dark Place, Ray Garton said, ';Elements of Carmen Snedeker's story clashed with elements of Al Snedeker's story, and it seemed everyone was having a problem keeping their stories straight. Frankly, I didn't notice until I had nearly finished all my interviews and began going over my notes, then I started having trouble matching up the details.';. When Garton approached the investigators about the inconsistencies mentioned, they told him, ';make it up (the story) and make it scary';.
Unfortunately, there is no proven evidence, but there are claims referring to a 'true story'. I'm seeing it on opening night!!
Loosely based. I don't know how many those things really happened.

True love haunts me, will they forgive me?
I believe i`ve had true love twice in my life and have spurrened both for adventure and destiny, this weighs heavily on my now empty soul.True love haunts me, will they forgive me?
First of all, when you make a statement that true love HAUNTS YOU, you are not talking about something that other people have never gone through themselves.
We all have feelings of regret and that's basically what being human is all about, simply knowing that were going to make mistakes.
But, when you think about it regret is definitely a big waste of time and a TOTALLY (USELESS) emotion because we cannot change the past.
When you talk about whether these individuals will forgive you that is not really the important thing here.
The reason that I make that statement is that these persons can forgive you but you will still not find true love with them.
This is because most of the time there has been too much ';water under the bridge'; so to speak to make up for lost time and emotions.

So my advice to you is simply forget the past and stretch forward into the future and get on with your life !

Is the film a haunting in conneticut based on true events?
or is it a load of old baloneyIs the film a haunting in conneticut based on true events?
It's based very very loosely on the claims by the Snedeker family that there was paranormal activities inside the house.
The film doesn't really follow there story much at all though.
The majority of evidence suggests that there story was all lies. The family members couldn't keep there stories straight and the landlady, upstairs neighbours, and next door neighbours had never seen any paranormal events.
All in all the film doesn't follow the actual story that was more than likely all lies anyway so it is a load of old baloney. Is the film a haunting in conneticut based on true events?
it is loosely based on true events, but one thing they didn't show in the movie is that kinda upset me was that ed %26amp; lorraine warren, 2 of the most famous paranormal investigators, were actually called in.
the funeral parlor where similar events that inspired this is located in southington, connecticut. i forget the name of the town where the hospital is she took her son to in the movie, but i've been a connecticut resident all my life, born and raised less than 10 minutes from southington, and never heard of that town or hospital. there are many fictional occurences and places in the movie, but yes, it's based on true events.
they say its based
on the allegedly true story
of the Snedeker family so
im thinking yea:)
it is true
thats why im never going to connecticut or america or watching it lol
it is true though ! :0

How is ';The Haunting in Connecticut'; based on a true story?
This movie is based on true events. There is a show called, ';A Haunting';, airing on the Discovery channel, and there first ever show was about this haunting. It was also called -A Haunting in Connecticut. It was very interesting and it definetily creeped me out after I watched it back in 2004. Here is a link to the actual show, that has been posted on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdKSokL5A鈥?/a> Or go to youtube and type- A haunting in connecticut discovery channel. You'll see what I mean, especially when the ';demon'; makes an appearance. How is ';The Haunting in Connecticut'; based on a true story?
yes it based on a true story. Based on a ';true'; story, Lionsgate鈥檚 The Haunting in Connecticut charts one family鈥檚 terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner鈥檚 clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. Now unspeakable terror awaits, when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the powerful dark forces of the supernatural, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family. How is ';The Haunting in Connecticut'; based on a true story?
i cant remember all the details but basically the true story is this:
a family moved into a house that used to be used to embalm dead bodies.
the eldest kid, a teenage boy, moved into the basement.
not long after the family moved in the boy started having personality changes and was seeing things in the basement.
the haunting got progressively more violent and physics were brought in and they all said that there was a portal to hell in the boys bedroom.
he woke up one night with cuts and scratches all over his body.
thats pretty much all i can remember.
people probably got haunted...lol...idk haha cant wait 2 c it though
I dont beleive in ghost.

Whats more true the amittyville horror or the haunting in Connecticut?
Amityville seems way more believable but idk does anyone know anythingWhats more true the amittyville horror or the haunting in Connecticut?
no one can know that except the people who experienced it. I haven't seen the movie for connecticut, but I watched the real story on Discovery and it was a really good story. I believe these people. I especialy feel sorru for their oldest son, I can't imagine being in a position like that. Thats probably the scariest most terrible thing a kid his age could expierince. Not only does he have these vicious things all around him but nobody believed him or cared till it was too late.Whats more true the amittyville horror or the haunting in Connecticut?
I live in CT, and in my newspaper there was an article about the house. The people who live there now report no hauntings in the house %26amp; that they've never had any problems. The people who lived there when it was ';haunted'; won't make any statements about it. Apprantly, the movie is based on a documentary that was on the Discovery Channel, which was based on a fictional book. The author of the book took some of the claims of the people who used to live there to make the book, but realized he didn't have enough evidence to base it on a true story. It seems like its all made up.
Amityville is based on a true story :Basically, very long story short: Ronald Defeo Jr shot his whole familly then claimed he was made to do it by voices he heard in his house (the ';amityville house';)-112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville. He then called the police pretending hed found them that way upon his return home. He changed his story many times and was proven to have mental issues with violence etc and set to jail eventually. The Lutz familly moved into the house and claimed in their 28 day stay that all these bad things happend so they called the warrens, two paranormal investigators who told them to leave. Again their stories kept changing, books were made and reports etc. People have lived there since and claimed no issues it was believed to be a money hoax as the lutzes were in debt. but them movies have seriously distorted the events and most of them are unrelated spin offs about different fictional ideas with some bits of the supposed real events added for effect. George Luttz is even suing the new film makers for slander and misinformation. I did a whole study on this and directed %26amp; starred in it for a drama piece at college! The Conneticut story is also supposed to be true but again with movies things get twisted.
No idea about 'Haunting in Connecticut'; but Amityville was pretty dubious as a haunting.
True, a terrible thing happened in that house (Ronald Defeo shooting his entire family dead) but the Jay Anson book and the subsequent movie were - at best - exaggerations of what happened afterwards. At worst, it's total fiction. The sequels to Amityville Horror are certainly fiction.
From the standpoint of tragic and violent death causing more 'haunting' ability, I would say that Amityville would be more likely to be true. That having been said though, a lot of the bodies that would have been in the funeral home in Connecticut may have been traumatic deaths as well. I still think that Amityville would be though.
ok amittyville is real a man snapped and killed his wife and kids with shotgun and very spooky things happen in that house like crosses turn around 360 d
and HIC is said to dead people on chains would rise up in the night
also so said real
amittyville horror........they stated in the news already that haunting in vonneticut is not a true story because the people who lived in that house were drug addicts.
my friend says the amytiville horror
idk! thats the scariest thing in this question
Neither. ';The Ghosts of Abu Ghraib'; is the most authentic.
Both are fiction plain and simple fiction.

What part of The Haunting in Connecticut is true?
What's true is that they had a son with cancer and were tired of having to drive from new york to connecticut for his treatment, the wife did get the house while the rest of the family was still in new york, and the basement had still been set up as a funeral parlor when they moved in. And the thing with the light bulbs happened. The house never burned down, there were no seances, there weren't hundreds of bodies kept in the walls. What part of The Haunting in Connecticut is true?
Well I saw the 2 hour special of the show called ';a haunting in conneticut'; and the family actually talked in the backround telling the true story n the show was more realistic. Like in the movie it had hat whole storyline of how a boy lived there and was a medium n there was body in the walls, that part isn't true they just put it in there to make it intresting. The house actually was a funeral parlor n the boy with cancer did live in the basement but with his lil bro at first. But they saw demons n then the boy with cancer got dark n changed n said a demon talked to him every night. So when his cousin came he like tryed to rape her or sumthin n he was put in a physc ward. Then the ghost came after family so they called demonlogists. And they came n rid the house of all the evil and the boys cancer disapered when he talked to demon so at the end he got better n the whole family moved out. And it did happen in conneticut. If you want to know what really happen watch the 2 hour special of it it's called ';A haunting in Conneticut';What part of The Haunting in Connecticut is true?
Well, there is this show that comes on the Discovery Channel at 1-2 noon called ''The Haunting'',I once saw it on there and I also saw it on another channel,it was called ''The Haunting in Connect.(I actually think it was Deleware like someone above me said,I can't remember.)It was nothing but a house that a family had moved into and in the basement there was once a funeral parlor I beileve, and one of the boys room was down there, and he became possessed and a lot of other things went on the house.
well the story is that they moved in the house and theyre were spirits haunting it and stuff. i highly doubt all that creepy stuff in movie happened to that guy. I looked it up awhile ago, just search ';haunting in connecticut real story';
I haven't seen the movie but I seen the Discovery Channel Documentary on it a ffew years ago, the whole story is ';supposed'; to be true....
The only part of it that was NOT true was that it was actually in Delaware.
it is in Connecticut i live about 20 minutes from the house.

It is called ';The Haunted:A True Story';. I have it on VHS. Based on true story, very good. Yes in the end of the movie it had followed them to their new house. I tried looking on a few movie sites to see if you'd be able to watch it online, but none have it. Trying to find old film about true haunting of a family in america?
definitely need more information!!! It doesn't sound like amytiville as some have suggested, as there's no mother in law, no people praying outside, and the spirits effect only the father - it's a good film though!! It's not american haunting either - So give us more to go on - not that I can add any more now I've answered, but definitely need more info as you've described just about any horror film!!
did it have a scene where one of the parents hears a baby crying and when they follow the sound into the shed, there is a glass jar with something weird pulsating inside it? Is that the same film?
the haunted. it was a TV movie from the early 90s. you could probably watch it on you tube, thats where I found it.
An American Haunting
Amityville
It sounds like the Amityville Horror. There were 2 versions made about 15 years apart..

Do you have any true haunting experiences you want to share? i do?
i stayed with my grandma one night a few years back i think i was 21 or 22 and i was sleeping on the couch. well i always sleep with the light on(long story) and the couch was up against the wall and i was facing the wall. I had not went to sleep yet but closed my eyes. well i was having trouble falling asleep so i opened my eyes and there was a tall human shadow on the wall above the couch. I was so scared i didnt want to turn around. i thought someone had broke in so i layed there really still. a minute later i opened my eyes again and it was still there but then it disspeared like a flash across the wall. it scared me so badly. later when i told my uncle and mom about it i was trying to explain to them what had happend and i turned on the light to show them where it was standing. that's when i noticed that the further from the couch you are the bigger the shadow and the closer you are the smaller the shadow you make and it's more visible. to make a long story short whatever it was had to be right next to the couch. still brings chills. my uncle said it was probably my grandpa saying helloDo you have any true haunting experiences you want to share? i do?
About 1 km up the road from me is an old manse called St Cecilia, this is in Peterborough, Sth Aust...
This old manse hosts 5 ghosts, and the most prominent is the ghost of one of the old Bishops who lived there in the 1870's..
A friend of mine is a psychic medium and he has been on a couple of documentaries which concern haunted places in Australia, and he has been filmed there several times...
I walk past St Cecilia's 4 times a week, mostly at around the 9ish PM mark, but sometimes much later on my fitness walk..
I have personally seen the Bishop 3 times, up on the porch on the far left hand side of the the building...
Every time I walk past the manse all the hairs stick up on the back of my neck and I have that feeling of being watched...
Every-time I have seen the Bishop, he is looking directly at me and it sends a shiver straight up my spine..
He knows my energy and I know his, I just hope he stays where he is, as I honestly believe that there is something a wee bit sinister about him...
I will tell you what happened to me when I first moved into my cottage in the country..
One night I got outta the shower and was drying myself in the lounge room and all of a sudden I was freezing cold; I was as cold as if I were naked and out in a blizzard...
I found my winter sleeping clothes(trackie daks, thermal T-shirt and a wind-cheater) and my thick woolly Pancho and I was still shivering; the temperature in my lounge room was 26C so I should have been quite comfortable in just a pair of shorts; the entity had changed my body temperature...
This happened on 3 separate occasions and I contacted a psychic medium mate of mine and we sent him to the light..
He was an adolescent child who was just having a bit of fun, but that fun could have killed me as it is not healthy to be all rugged up in winter clothing etc when it is in fact really quite warm inside the house....
I still have one entity, and he causes me no dramas at all...
In Light... )O(Do you have any true haunting experiences you want to share? i do?
yes i was sleeping on couch after eating some spicy Mexican food and i saw a huge habernero pepper walking around my bed asking for a glass of milk it was so scary i will never get over it

I've heard recycled sounds in an apartment and my mother's house, I heard a male jarbled voice when home alone when I first moved in with my fiancee and no one was tehre when I searched, I thought I heard or felt my mother walk around the house the night she died (I certainly didn't want to open my eyes!! she would have given me a heart attack). Whenm my fiancee and I went to take pictures of headstones at night, the car wouldn't start, but that was casue she put the car in neutral when she turned it off! LOL
I don't know if he was just saying this to scare the hell out of me, but my guitar teacher told me that when he was 16 he had a dream where in the dream, he (or somethingg) was looking down on him from above his bed, from the ceiling, and then he kept seeing himself sleep but whatever was watching him sleep had crawled down the ceiling, down the wall and next to his bed. Then the next thing he knew something was pulling on his foot and wouldn't let go, and he was trying to fight off whatever was grabbing onto his ankle, and then when he woke up there were red marks on his ankle. *chillllllsss...*
Anyways, it's nice seeing that I am not the only one who sleeps with a light on. I leave my bedroom door open and turn on a light just outside my room. The light pours through the doorway illuminating the room. Otherwise, I often wake up with nightmares, and a dark room makes it worse. With the light on, my dreams are better. So I can see that when you awoke it was helpful that a light was on. I know the feeling.
I woke up during a dream about my father soon after he died. In the dream, he was in my house only a few feet from me. It was like he was there, and it wasn't a scary feeling at all.
Maybe this will cheer you up! It's so funny:

Can someone tell me where i can find the true story of the haunting in conneticut?
http://www.livescience.com/strangenews/0鈥?/a>
hope this helps. i think the movie exaggerates a lot but...Can someone tell me where i can find the true story of the haunting in conneticut?
iMed is right. the movie is stupid. its not much like the real story.
i got this bit from wikipedia
True-story claims
Promotional material for the movie claims that it is based on the ';true story'; of paranormal activities experienced by the Snedeker family in the 1980s.[2] The Snedekers moved into a house in Southington, Connecticut, and would later claim that it was plagued by some manner of demonic presence. Carmen Snedeker described the demons: ';One of the demons was very thin, with very high cheekbones, long black hair and pitch black eyes. Once upon a time a bunch of movie execs sat around a table and said to themselves that the Amnesty Horror thing had been done enough, but they still wanted to build on that, and came up with Haunting in Connecticut instead.
If you watch the discovery channel ';A Haunting'; that show has the true story of the Haunting in Connecticut. that movie was just a load of BS.
hope this helps. i think the movie exaggerates a lot but...Can someone tell me where i can find the true story of the haunting in conneticut?
iMed is right. the movie is stupid. its not much like the real story.
i got this bit from wikipedia
True-story claims
Promotional material for the movie claims that it is based on the ';true story'; of paranormal activities experienced by the Snedeker family in the 1980s.[2] The Snedekers moved into a house in Southington, Connecticut, and would later claim that it was plagued by some manner of demonic presence. Carmen Snedeker described the demons: ';One of the demons was very thin, with very high cheekbones, long black hair and pitch black eyes. Another had white hair and eyes, wore a pinstriped tuxedo, and his feet were constantly in motion. Also one had a very big smile that on each side touched his eyes, and he was very short.';[3] The house was examined by Ed and Lorraine Warren. The story follows that mortuary equipment was discovered in the basement, and Lorraine Warren would later state, ';In the master bedroom, there was a trap door where the coffins were brought up, and during the night, you would hear that chain hoist, as if a coffin were being brought up. Is it true if a women gets an abortion the dead baby ';fetus'; haunts them for the rest of their life?
Is this urban legend true?Is it true if a women gets an abortion the dead baby ';fetus'; haunts them for the rest of their life?
not everyone believes in ';ghosts';, however it could certainly haunt them emotionally. Is it true if a women gets an abortion the dead baby ';fetus'; haunts them for the rest of their life?
This is not even an urban legend its just a load of rubbish, designed to scare naive young women into keeping children they are not equipped to bring up. Certainly many women suffer feelings of remorse after a termination or come to regret their decision but stories such as this is the worst kind of superstition designed to do nothing more than brain wash.
Yes it is true.
The spirit of the dead fetus will usually hover just behind the woman's left ear, where it will squawk into it, like a dying parrot.
I have never heard of this ';urban legend'; what a strange question to ask....why would a fetus want to ';haunt'; someone? Very funny way of wording this question. And I would say its not true.
The only right a person has is a right to live
not a right to decide whether somebody else is living or not.
only thing i know is that abortion is NOT right
I don't believe in that kind of ghosts, so I don't think it's true. If it is, there's an awful lot of fetus ghosts hanging out in the U.S. right now....
Hahaha It definately doesn't haunt them in a ghost sense, but i suppose if they do it for the wrong reasons then yes they may be haunted with guilt...
But every woman has this right and it should always be that way!!
i dont believe that it haunts then i do believe that they do feel guilty for what then had did to their poor inecent child.
lol.. certainly not true
base the decision on logic not urban legends.. good luck
there is often a lot of guilt.. something that they might never get past

Does anyone know the full true story behind a haunting in conneticut?
Based on a true story, The Haunting in Connecticut charts one family's real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. Now unspeakable terror awaits when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the dead, returns to unleash horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family. Written by Lionsgate

You can find just about anything regarding the movie on google. Just type in the name. I haven't seen the film yet, however, just b watching the trailer and reading the summary, the movie seems pretty scary. I an interview on goodle, and a lot of things are clarified.
Well not to scare the heck out of you but yes the base of the movie is true. This was done as a re-enacted documentary on the Discover Channel and the movie coming out is not entirely accurate to what really occured.
So here is the actual real life synopsis of this event:
1) Family moves into a very old mortuary home where they used to store bodies in the basement. For those that don't know what a mortuary is it's when a person dies he/she is sent here to be presentable for the funeral. It can be a bit gruesome on what they need to do.
2) Oldest son takes the basement room (where the bodies were once stored) and begins to hear/see things. His condition becomes more and more weird and aggressive. He begins to see people that once was stored in this former mortuary.
He is taken away (committed) and leaves the house.
3) After the older son is taken away the spirits begin attacking the family.
It gives me chills just remembering this story. Probably one of the most disturbing and terrifying events I've heard/seen ever. I'm sure in a few weeks they'll show it again on TV, but I'll tell you that it's really scary stuff.
Supposedly, but I can find no supporting evidence besides Wikipedia, which is a website that anybody can edit on their own. I have not found any other information on any other website and I have searched for credible sources. The stuff coming out of the kids mouth is called ECTOPLASM. And it is completely fake. A long time ago, pictures were taken with supposed ';ectoplasm'; coming from individuals mouths where a supposed physical substance manifests as a result of spiritual energy. Here are a few examples.

What true story is ';The Haunting in Conneticut'; based on?
i just saw the movie a few hours ago and it said BASED on a true story
What story? What true story is ';The Haunting in Conneticut'; based on?
The new film ';The Haunting in Connecticut'; tells the story of the Snedeker family, who in 1986 rented an old house in Southington, Connecticut. Allen and Carmen Snedeker moved in with their daughter and three young sons. While exploring their new home, Carmen found strange items in the basement: tools used by morticians.
The family soon discovered 鈥?to their horror 鈥?that their home had once been a funeral parlor, and the eldest son began seeing ghosts and terrifying visions. The experiences spread to other family members and got worse: Both parents said they were raped and sodomized by demons; one day as Carmen mopped the kitchen floor, the water suddenly turned blood red and smelled of decaying flesh; and so on.
Finally the family contacted a pair of self-styled ';demonologists'; and ';ghost hunters,'; Ed and Lorraine Warren, who arrived and proclaimed the Snedeker house to be infested with demons.

Is my house haunted by a succubus? What can happen to me if this is true?
First of all I'm a guy who wants to find out what happens when paranormal phenomena occur. And I want serious answers.
I tried to summon a succubus one night. I made a circle of salt on the floor and I started to concentrate. I think I managed to summon the succubus, because I could feel it's presence (or maybe it was only autosuggestion) . Anyway I tried to make it physical and I didn't succeed.
The point is I gave up and went to sleep because it was late. But that night I couldn't sleep at all.
So my question is: was that insomnia caused by the succubus or by another reason? And also how can I get rid of a succubus if there truly is one in my house? And what can happen if I don't get rid of it?
Thank you!Is my house haunted by a succubus? What can happen to me if this is true?
Well, I'm not really sure if succubi really haunt anywhere, but the insomnia could really be caused by almost anything, and belief is a powerful thing. Either ways, a succubus, as you probably already know, is a type of demon who, according to mediaeval philosophy seduced men in their sleep and 'slept' with them. They supposedly live off of energy they take, and were thought to cause exhaustion, unconsciousness or death from the energy they stole. According to Malleus Maleficarum, the succubus would also steal semen from you and give it to their male inccubi counterparts, who would impregnate women with it and, according to myths, they would give birth to humans with supernatural powers or such.
From what I've seen, to get rid of a demon, you need to mark out the entrances and doors and other windows and such into your house, and walk around each of them saying something like 'In the name of %26lt;whatever deity or such you truly believe in%26gt;, I command and expel %26lt;some way to make the demon know you mean him without question%26gt; from my house and presence.' Although, you must completely believe in whatever deity, and you cannot want to have the demon remain AT ALL, including finding more about it first or anything. You must rid your mind of the want to do it again for this, and again, you must completely believe in the deity or God as your authority.
Hope this helps. Is my house haunted by a succubus? What can happen to me if this is true?
If you go on line and type in the search bar,how to summon a succubus,it will show you a site to do this in ten steps, then go on line and type in the search bar,how to get rid of a succubus,it will also show you a site with a lot of info on this. It does sound like you summoned something, go to the sites and read up on this, hope this helps you out.
Why would you want to summon something like that? If you're having problems, you brought them on yourself.
Being haunted be something evil doesn't feel good.
AHAHHAHAA,
You brought it on yourself.
Go get a real gf and leave the succubus alone.
Or...............a hooker.............
insomnia is caused by things like worry, stress, anger, caffeine or other substances, changes in sleep schedules, or external disturbances (ie construction).
Many people confuse their lack of tiredness for insomnia, because we are told we need 8+ hours of sleep a day. So people worry if they aren't tired enough to sleep that much. However, how much sleep you need depends entirely on the individual. Some people barely ever sleep, look up Jack Karouac. The key is, if you simply aren't tired, your better off getting up and doing things until you are tired than laying awake in bed trying to force sleep.
If you are tired and can't sleep and can't figure out why, then you might want to check with a doctor. You might have a sleeping disorder.
Anyway, its my understanding that if succubus were real, they would be real demons, and they would prefer you to be asleep, not awake, as thats how they take advantage of people. However, the legend of the succubus is actually based on a hallucinatory state of semi-consciousness known as sleep paralysis.

Is it true that the real paranormal activity movie recorded by the couple is haunted?
I heard that when Steven Spielberg watched the movie his door got locked or something...is that true?Is it true that the real paranormal activity movie recorded by the couple is haunted?
Yes, anyone who has seen it has disappeared. I'm sending my wife to see it tonight. Is it true that the real paranormal activity movie recorded by the couple is haunted?
No. If it was haunted roughly 350,000 people would of been dead or noted sitings.
and maybe that did happen to Steven Spielberg, but he was probably shaken up by the movie and didn't realize his window was open or something that could close the door.
Also I know this kinda ruins the movie a bit but if it makes you feel better, they explain how they do all their effects on their college bound website.
Wow.No.That's seriously stupid. It's just to make you think it's real.Things like that are never real, otherwise the world would be in total chaos.
its just a lie to make the movie more popular. and the movie is FAKE lol the couple admitted it
nooo. people are stupid.
no. I think they just make it seem like a real story to make it more scary. But it really isnt true
No... it's all hype to raise the movie's rating.
that's what they sayy..

Do you think a Haunting in Conneticut is really based on a true story?
I do believe that it is but i was just wondering what ppls opinions were on it.Do you think a Haunting in Conneticut is really based on a true story?
I def think that it is based on a true story.
I believe in ';Spirits'; not ';Ghosts';.
People say ghosts just to scare you.
I'm not religious or anything but I do believe in spirits.
You can buy the movie with the copy of the real life victims of it.
Watch it, it's pretty interesting.
They said that they could feel the presences during the interview.
Hope I helped (:Do you think a Haunting in Conneticut is really based on a true story?
I think it is. Cancer patients sometimes hallucinate because of the treatments, but are they really hallucinations? According to the movie only the weak can see the spirits. I believe that the house at one point was haunted by this Jonah dude and all the peole Aikman bound to their bodies. But it's no longer haunted, because of the burnt house, burning all the bodies.
watch the tv discovery channel version, its much better.
i believe that while the story could be true, it was grossly over exaggerated. most ghost stories based on true events are.
i think ghosts are real, but they dont do all the **** the movies say they do.
No. I think that creators of movies now, put that on there to gain more audiences. I don't think it actually happened.
Or, if it did, it didn't happen so graphically as depicted in the movie.
Allegedly this is a true story, there have been many films and books on this story. The only ones who really know are those involved, I have an open mind about it.
It's possible, but I'll never know. I did see the documentary with the real family on Discovery channel and that kind of weirded me out.

well i dont really believed in ghost so i dont really know if its a camera trick only...ill go investigate and see if its real
I think so. The true story is that someone moved into a house. That's what ';based on a true story'; means.
yeah, i believe that it's true.
maybe idk i go danny phantom and see

Is it true that demons that haunt you have known you all your life and ';mimick you';?
That would be pretty lame.
Demons are thousands of years older than you. Why ';you';?Is it true that demons that haunt you have known you all your life and ';mimick you';?
I wouldn't doubt that you have demons assigned to you, just as you have Angels assigned to you. It's not like they have anything else to do. It's not like they are taking a cruise to Alaska. They are all under orders (Hell is not a democracy) and all their leader wants is to screw up humans. Is it true that demons that haunt you have known you all your life and ';mimick you';?
I don't know what you mean by haunt. But spirits (demons) try and do take over the psyche . And then mankind tells us it always a medical problem , when sometimes it is a spiritual one.
Nope.

Where to find scary/haunting news stories that are true?
I am sooo interested in creepy murderers and paranormal things that happen but they have to be true or else I get very bored.
stuff like the green river killer and mary shaw (if she was real).Where to find scary/haunting news stories that are true?
You can look it up in a library's database to find out any story you need and what to find. Make sure you type the title or main key words.

Is it based on true story? Is the movie Haunting in Connecticut a true story?
Promotional material for the movie claims that it is based on the true story of paranormal activities experienced by the Snedeker family in the 1980s.[2] The Snedekers moved into a house in Southington, Connecticut, and would later claim that it was plagued by some manner of demonic presence. Carmen Snedeker described the demons: ';One of the demons was very thin, with very high cheekbones, long black hair and pitch black eyes. Another had white hair and eyes, wore a pinstriped tuxedo, and his feet were constantly in motion. Also one had a very big smile that on each side touched his eyes, and he was very short.';[3] The boy with the big smile would sit in a corner and vomit demons. The house was examined by Ed and Lorraine Warren. The story follows that mortuary equipment was discovered in the basement, and Lorraine Warren would later state, ';In the master bedroom, there was a trap door where the coffins were brought up, and during the night, you would hear that chain hoist, as if a coffin were being brought up. But when Ed went to check, there was nobody down there.'; Lorraine Warren has told the Associated Press that the house was cleared of any presence after a s茅ance conducted in 1988.[2]Is the movie Haunting in Connecticut a true story?
Yeah but I think it is chopped up like American Haunting the 2005 film about the Bell Witch of Tennessee to make it a bit more entertaining. Most horror films or films in general have several discrepancies between the actual occurrences and the film. If anything it is probably inspired by true events and the production company took it from there.

How is the movie, 'The Haunting Of Connecticut' based on a true story?
I haven't seen the movie and I'm not a fan or horror movies but I've seen the commerical and I wonder HOW it's based on a true story...
The commericals also say that the events have never been explained until the movie, HOW?? I don't get how they can figure out how the true events happened and how the movie is based on a true story
Anyone know??How is the movie, 'The Haunting Of Connecticut' based on a true story?
Well this is the story told of a family that lived there in the 1980s. lots of strange things happened when they lived in the house( such as someone apparently being assaulted and raped by Satan's minions for months at a time). However, the current residents day it is no way, no how haunted. How is the movie, 'The Haunting Of Connecticut' based on a true story?

Oh i saw this today! And i was also like how can this be based on a true story! Well tbh i still dont know lol
It would be really scary if it was based on true events.
It maybe something like a family that lived in that house thought it was haunted because it used to be a funeral home and all this crap happened in it lol
But i think it depends on whether you believe in all that medium, spirits, the undead type stuff!
xox
its based on a true story because they were worshiping he devil which means demons and stuff and the devil is obviously bad so when the people died, they haunted the house an its based on a true story because the family that lived there afterward was probably haunted. they probably added a little drama to the movie to make money but the haunting part is true. i look it up online and if someone doesn't go to heaven or hell, isn't he/she a ghost?or at least considered one.
The events have been explained. Yes they think there are spirits in the actual house but all the events of how things were going wrong in the house were basically a couples way of getting out of paying for damages in the house. The whole, people having their skin engraved never happened or anything like that.
Two crazy people thought their house was haunted
Many more crazy people believed them
Some smart people figured they could slap a ';based on true story'; line on a crappy movie based on it and make a lot of money from a lot of very, very crazy people.
Well since the commericals say in the very opening , 'BASED ON A TRUE STORY' I'm guessing it is....
spirit stuff like that happens. Like, really happens. Amytiville horror was based on a true story too.
Its ';supposedly'; supposed to be based on a true story, but the only thing true about it is where it was filmed.

Most Haunted was pretty scary last night particularly the scratches. TV trickery or true, your thoughts?
The thing that scares me most about Most Haunted is Derek Acora. There's no wonder so few people believe in psychics with that pillock getting ';possessed'; ever week. And would Yvette please stop screaming. Honestly, I do think that some of it is genuine but it's sensationalised for TV viewing. Most Haunted was pretty scary last night particularly the scratches. TV trickery or true, your thoughts?
It's all acting for the sake of TV ratings. If you saw Derek Akora before he really started doing his 'superstar' haunted progs, you'll realise that he has changed dramatically for the sake of programme ratings. All those with him are actors (or have been in the past) and it's all so hammed up that if you cut their arms off they probably have Danish written through 'em!Most Haunted was pretty scary last night particularly the scratches. too scared to watch it since when Dereck was on he scared me into never watching it again, Pendle Hill I think it was,
the only one of these shows I like is Ghosthunters. I like that one because they go in trying to debunk it, not trying to prove it. They actually try to find out what causes some phenomenon. The other shows are the opposite.
Most Haunted is most fake!!!! The show is great entertainment, but that's about it.

i live in connecticut so i was just curious.I know that the movie THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT is based on a true story, but what town did it take place in?
The house is located in Southington CT at 208 Meriden Ave. It isn't a place where people can actually visit a family does live there today and some rumors around town is that there has been some paranormal activity in the house but not to the extent of what the movie, book, or documentary all say. I have lived in Southington my whole life and just a couple streets down from this one, and don't always believe what the movie makers say they say BASED on a true story for a reason... some or most facts in the movie are greatly exaggerated.I know that the movie THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT is based on a true story, but what town did it take place in?
the person who wrote the book ';in a dark place'; actually admitted that the Snedekers stories clashed and didnt add up!
It is based on what Snedeker family claim happened which has never been proven of course.
It isn't true. That stuff just doesn't happen.
Just like The Amityville Horror. Those people later admitted that they lied about the whole thing.

Yes. It is based on a true story. As a matter of a fact i saw in The History channel the owners of the house at that moment describing everything that happened to them. They even wrote a book about it. It was very creepy. Even in wikipedia it says quote ';The Haunting in Connecticut is a 2009 horror/thriller film based on the allegedly true story of the Snedeker family's encounter with the paranormal in Southington, Connecticut.'; So yes. It is based on a true story. You can try to google it or maybe you will catch it on The History channel one day. Or the Discovery Channel!

I'm talking about the actual haunting in Amityville, NY, and the news reports that followed. Not the sh!tty Hollywood film.Is a haunting in Connecticut really a true story?
it is true that areas/houses in connecticut are haunted, the story in the movie would mostly be true but just exaggerated for the sake of entertainment. my friend just told me a couple of days ago that she knew someone that was related to some guy who lived in connecticut and he stabbed himself down his chest and was in an accoma for 6 days and lived! he was sane! he was just a normal guy and he stated that ';he heard voices telling him to do it';.. freaky huh? he was probably possessed O_O
it is a true story!!!!just read the story below and you would have your answer!!!
In 1986, Ed and Karen Parker move their family into an old Connecticut home to be near the hospital where their teenaged son receives cancer treatment. Soon after learning that their residence was once a funeral home, Paul begins seeing entities, including four Dark men and a demon called the ';Man in the Suit,'; and his health worsens. With his behavior becoming increasingly erratic, his parents have him committed to a mental hospital. Once the son is gone, the evil forces inhabiting the house turn on the rest of the family. In desperation, the Parkers contact psychic investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren for help. This story is to be featured in the upcoming film The Haunting in Connecticut.
The real family who experienced the events in the movie A Haunting in Connecticut told their story in a ghost series on the Discovery Channel in 2005. Their faces were shadowed out and they said that they did not wish to speak of the story after that episode.
yeah, this is actually supposed to be pretty real. discovery channel had a thing on it a couple years back...i think it started their 'a haunting' series. whether or not THAT was true...it's not for me to say. The movie is probably dramamtized, but the spirits and stuff is allegedly real. (Amityville Horror never really happened; that was a lame court defense a guy gave and hollywood ran with it....twice. Texas Chainsaw Massacre didn't happen, either, they just said that at the beginning of the movie for fun. Sorry for oversharing, I'm bored)
of course people have been living there for years without any problems! if you see the documentary or read the story you would know that they had an exorcist that removed the spirits. i truley belive because you see unexplainable thing from time to time, and besides where do spirits go after they are dead?
my question is if any one knows the story about the people who lived there before, the people who owned the morgue?
Personally, I dont think its true. The real boy had a mental illness. This is a fact. Also, nearly all of the Hollywood ';true story'; horror films are in fact fake. Like the strangers, which is supposed to be true events, never really happened. Im not saying the movie isnt scary, obviously I havent seen it yet. But to me, I dont think it is true.
This story has been at the seat of some controversy. The family (the brother in particular) of this boy insist that the boy was suffering from mental illness and have been in litigation to stop this story in both book and film version from being released. The ';true'; story had demonologists Ed %26amp; Lorraine Warren (the same folks who investigated the Amityville case) working on it. I've read all of the Warren's books and attended one of their demonology seminars in Putnam, CT and was impressed. After doing further research on the cases that the Warrens investigate, it appears that they may be more about hype than they are about actual investigation. They don't allow anyone (of scientific background) to observe their methods or verify their testimonials of what they ';observe'; in a household. Most of their ';facts'; are not recorded via audio or video and relies mostly on heresay. They control the research environment. Anyway... not to burst the bubble of this story, but the family of this boy seem to feel that the boy was exploited in order to make money for several people. The family of this boy provided some solid documentation that he was mentally unstable and that information was ignored by the Warrens in favor of exploitation. I wish I had website links to share where I have read about this over the last year, but unfortuntely I don't. The Warren's mystique has worn off a great deal after I learned about their practices. Their books are full of religious dogma more than scientific fact. They seem to just want to scare you into Christianity. ';The Haunted'; is an interesting read about a supposed ';true story'; of a family terrorized by three seperate demons in West Pittston, PA. The people eventually ended up going on Richard Bey (a low-budget 90's talk-show host out of New Jersey) to tell their story. The book is out of print, but maybe a library or Amazon.com has it. My opinion is...always do your research...and don't take anything as fact...especially in Hollywood. Based on a true story says very little. They certainly take their creative liberties. Hope this was helpful.
Yes but the movie took some creative liberties to make the movie more entertaining.
I first saw this story on Discovery channel, and if the movie is anything like the discovery show it will be creepy.

Is it true that the ship Queen Marie is haunted?
Of course if you have seen the Ghost Hunters episode where they go to Queen Marie they experience alot of unusual stuff. Is it true that the ship Queen Marie is haunted?
I stayed on the Queen Mary once. Didn't notice anything unusual except for the steep price on a cramped room.Is it true that the ship Queen Marie is haunted?
I seen an investigation of Queen Marie.
It came on the Travel Channel last week.
The investigators had several paranormal experiences.
One of them claimed he actually seen a ghost on the ship.
After hours of research the investigators said it's haunted.
I went on a tour on the Queen Mary several years ago and afterwards they said that had a ghost hunter team coming aboard later that night.

Isnt Mariah Careys song ';clown'; very haunting, but true?
For example, couple of people who have done so much damage to me finally are paying the consequence. One of these ';people'; were arrested recently. Now things kinda are going in place in my life. I guess the same was with Mariah and that physco path ';eminem'; (not wasting my time to find sp) Anyways, the song's meaning is like saying yea this maybe your moment, but sonner or later God will catch up with you. Google the lyrics, its really good. Anyone relate to the song?Isnt Mariah Careys song ';clown'; very haunting, but true?
I love the ';Charmbracelet album'; shame iit didn't do so well.
back to the song... I understand what you mean with the ';haunting part';, I sort of felt the same way when I heard this song like the lyrics are very confrontational when she says somethin' like ';I guess your mama never told you what goes around comes back around'; she is suggesting ';karma'; I'm guessing!!!
It really is a song many can relate too not me though LOL but it has amzing but very strong lyrics... Mariah is probably one of the best writers and my favourite musician OUT THERE!!!!

when i close my eyes in fear i saw some in side the car and the person was a guy had an accident and there was another guy or girl in the thing i was afarid when i saw that HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP PLEASE???I am Haunted by Dark Shadows is it true?
Well i'm a Muslim. In Singapore which is where i live whenever we moved in to the new house we always have mass prayers as a cleansing. It's a customary beliefs to us to do that as it help us cleanse the house of and spirits that have attached to the house. it doesn't matter wheteher it's a good or bad spirits but it's act as a way to ask the spirits to leave the house and not bother the owners. I'm not sure which religion do you belong to but if you are a Christian it's better that you go to your local church to ask for help from the priest to help bless and cleanse the house and rid of the shadows. And hopefully it helps you to get rid of what you feared. In case you are from other religions just go to your local priest to help you to deal with these things.I am Haunted by Dark Shadows is it true?
i don't think your crazy far from it in fact.
OK i see shadows in this house we bought all-ways in the same spots in the entrance and by the front windows but its like as soon as you turn to face it it's gone in a flash.
never been touched in this house but we smell perfume and pipe tobacco and we are certain one is my pop who has passed and one we think is my grandma both died in England while I'm in Australia.
now i must ask you do you find yourself waking around the same time during the night??if so what time??
good luck with this and if you don't feel comfortable just say you are not welcome here i find this helps me when I'm unsure.
Good imagination.

On ouiji boards is it true you can be possesed and haunted also do they attach to teens till adulthood??
as far i heard you cant get rid of one and they are really creepy cos my aunt did it and things got moved aroud in her room and thrown at her till she was older and on excorsist that was a true story cos of an ouiji baord also pple tried to get rid of em and the come back and stay all set up and last thing i swear also you can never get a good spirit out em if you do its always a bad one pretending to be good. so do ouiji boards actually work have you got expierience?? x..//xxOn ouiji boards is it true you can be possesed and haunted also do they attach to teens till adulthood??
Whenever you dable in the occult, you open yourself to influence of evil spirits -- the possessions and hauntings you described are symptomatic of demonic presences. So the thing about ';bad one pretending to be good'; is true.
Evil spirits don't know the future -- they can't. Therefore Ouiji (Ouija) doesn't work. So don't go there. You'll be better off for it.
I've been there. Don't want to go back again. On ouiji boards is it true you can be possesed and haunted also do they attach to teens till adulthood??

My cousin and I did this until a ';guide'; appeared and when it started using bad language we quit. Although my cousin and I have talked about it twice over the years, and have a trace of a ';feeling'; that something existed at the time, we do not feel possessed. My cousin and I do not live near one another so maybe you and the other person need to be together to get the sense of that ';guide';.
My best advice would be ';don't go there';. It was scarey enough that we dropped it like a hot potato. We are both mature women now with good careers. I am glad we walked away by listening to our better judgement before it was overwritten by something weird....even if it was within ourselves.
Here I am...a rational adult and I have no idea about this because I refuse and refused to delve deeper. Some things are just better left alone. ';Get thee behind me satan'; and all that.
I had a Ouija board when I was a kid. I used to play with it with my friends. We were hoping for something strange to happen for the thrill of it. Anyhow, I quit playing with it and I found it later on and tried it again by myself and with other older kids. Then we tried it drinking beer. Then we tried it drinking liquor...and so on. Finally I go so mad at it I tossed it across the room. I guess mine was a dud.
p.s. I threw it out and there weren't any problems
When you use one of those boards your opening your home up to everything that wants to come from the other side. My mum doesnt believe in ghosts, so she says and i went i asked her if i could use the board her face went chalk white so she's had a scare with it and wont tell me what. Id never use a ouiji board.
I wouldnt touch one of those things with a barge pole - gives me the heebei jeebeies!!
You can get possessed for just talking about it
Wooooooooo.......
I used to to it alot,,, to much,, yes i believe it worked,, would test it numerious times to see if it was real by going to another room and writting something down and asking what it saud,,, closing our eyes ect.... Nothing bad ever stayed with me that i know of,,, but some people do believe that they do,,,there are special prayers you can say while burning the baord,,, and it HAS to be burned... I just noticed im on yahoo ireland,, what the hell am I doing here anyways if your really interested and want to know email me and i will try to find the prayers again. I myself have never burned it and prayed, but I was thinking about it,,, it couldnt hurt ya know.
Most people probably won't agree with this, but, yes, demons are attached to those things as well as all things occult including horoscopes. Be wary of anyone or anything that makes accurate predictions because their knowledge could be demonic. ';These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues...'; Mark 16:17. In other words, true believers can drive out those demons in the name of Jesus because of His divine nature and the fact that He is God. Don't ask me to explain the Trinity. If St. Augustine could write 15 (I believe it is) volumes about the Trinity and couldn't explain it, odds are no one else can either, though there are attempts that are pretty good. You asked; I answered. No one has to agree with me.
YES...and you can only get ride of them by satanic enchantments

What are your favorite true life episodes of A Haunting & have you ever had encounters with the paranormal?
Those used to freak me out. I`ve probably seen every episode at least two or three times.
Probably the one about Bobby Mackey`s nightclub slash bar, very interesting back story and it was featured on Ghost Adventures too!
Part 1 of the episode (if anyone hasn`t seen it)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZ0NEJh_C鈥?/a>
`The Haunting of Summerwind`and `The Lake Club Horror` were really interesting too.
I`ve had a few experiences but generally go out of my way to avoid that type of thing, like, for that reason I`d never live in a really old house, or next to a cemetery, etc. What are your favorite true life episodes of A Haunting %26amp; have you ever had encounters with the paranormal?
I love the Haunting... one of my fav shows. I've seen them all though... they need some new ones.
And yes, had some very unusual encounters... I can tell many stories but one most memorable included a time when my room was literally ransacked and a paper was type written on the old type writer that did not have ribbon in it.. I ran and returned moments later and all was ';back to normal';. It was spooky... another was when I there was a man laughing upstairs in an old farm house we rented, when my dad came to stay from out of state, he was to stay two days but left early after one and told me later that someone or something was up there with him in the night, even sat on the bed beside him. He was terrified and was up all night. My dad never believed in such until that point.... I could go on forever !What are your favorite true life episodes of A Haunting %26amp; have you ever had encounters with the paranormal?
I don't watch that show but my brother was checking out an abandoned warehouse to play paintball in and he video taped it with his phone to show his friends and when he played it back there was high pitch squeaking and something was messing with the camera and it was louder the closer he got to this one area. they got the **** out of there as fast as they could run
the one with the demon thing called 'seth'. they caught it on tape and the 2 mediums had to clean the house with sage.
i heard a ghost/spirit thing talk in a weird language once. i didn't see anything though.
i like the one where the guy in a picture was trying to protect the lady and it was a picture of a guy in the army...hahaha, so vague. sorry.
i think i have. (:
the one where the little boy had a demon friend that he simply called ';man.'; No i've never had any encounters that couldnt be explained away
Well ....... I have NO favorites ......I am no longer ';haunted'; ...since the divorce ......
The one where the woman dies. No.:)
Episode- Bloody Mary
Never had an ecounter

No.:)

If this one is the movie that had Donald Sutherland as the father, then yes it was based on a true haunting. The story goes that there was a poltergeist like haunting on the farm. It surrounded a girl who had gone into puberty, and her father. The father finally died as a result of the experience.
I live in Connecticut (for my entire life) and yes - this is based on a real haunting or what was thought to be an actual haunting.
I'm not sure if the town's actual name will be divulged in the film - I guess we'll just have to wait and see on the 27th.
At this point in time - I am not sure if anyone occupies the residence - that may be the reason the town's actual name has been kept from much of the promo's and media?
Just noticed in one article - they are reporting the haunting is from the Southington/Meriden area (so the closest hospital would have been Yale New Haven Hosp.).
I am not positive but it may have been in the mid to late 80s? Around '86 or '87?
Hope this info helps!

i saw a show about the legend of the ship and if the discovery channel says it, it must be true! type it into google and a whole heap load of sites will come up.Is it true the Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, CA haunted?
So they say. There have been multiple witnesses to multiple manifestations, visual, tactile and audible. You can learn more about the supposed Queen Mary haunting(s) (which is a beautiful ship, by the way) here -----%26gt; http://www.ghostsandlegends.com/
~Morg~
PS - I never saw anything there, but as a devout Asatruar, one of the Norns around me may have chased the ghosties away! ;-pIs it true the Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, CA haunted?
Lots of people say so.
A colleague of mine toured the ship with the psychic Peter James. She experienced several individuals while on board. She and Peter were standing on a deck across from the First Class Pool, a reputedly haunted area of the ship. Peter asked her 'do you see the lady at the top of the pool?' She responded, 'no, but I see a little girl over there on the left.' It turned out James was testing her to see if she did in fact see the girl. And yes, this was an apparitional appearance.
no
When I lived in Long Beach (I miss it there) the Queen Mary was my Sunday thing to do. I did it every Sunday. I never saw anything, I took the ghost tours and such. But there are reports that it is. Maybe I just couldn't sense anything.

“Suspicion always haunts the guilty mind” Is this true for all?
While it is certainly true in some situations, it's also true that one who has been burned watches for fire.
In some situations the person has been hurt, and the first instinct in a different situation may be to scrutinize that situation for similarities to a previous experience.
For example, when I hear of a child who is in trouble, I often wonder what abuse has led the child to act out. I'm NOT an abuser, but quite the contrary. Because I was a target of abuse as a child, I am extremely protective of children.
The guilty mind may indeed be haunted by suspicion, but so is the wounded heart. Before you accuse someone, it's a good idea to know as many facts as possible.“Suspicion always haunts the guilty mind” Is this true for all?
Thank you. I hope the answer helped you sort out whatever was bothering you.

no ,not nessaryily so, but it often does. suspician is a behavior when things dont add up with no real proof
some people are paranoid and there issue (unreasonable expectations)
others are unreasobly jealous
both are psycological issues not attached to yourself
as for a guilty mind often a person attributes on there partner what they dont like in themselves a guilty mind
Yes. That's why you keep looking over your shoulder.
In-fact, Elvis even sang a song about ';Suspicious Minds.';%26lt;}:-})
Everyone who has suspected me of something has been guilty. Sometimes they even use that suspicion as an excuse to do the deed.
Yes. When a guy is suspicious of you, he is also probably stepping out.
