All this true story **** is a load of bollacks
yeah i remember 1 friday the 13th, we went to a camp site in crystal lake, it was good, and then we found out that some jason guy died there he drowned, then my friends started dying of unexplanable deaths, so we up and left in the night, and we decided to go back to elm street and suffer the nightmares, untill one night we came up with a plan we would pull freddy from our dreams gag him tie him up kick sh** out of him and take him to crystal lake, and let jason sort him out, well on the way back to crystal lake we run over this guy, so we thought oh well and just dumped his body in the river, i mean we were in to much of a rush to sort out freddy, so we drove on to the crystal lake, and about 10 miles before we got there we see to dolls sitting on the side of the road, one was dressed as a bride, and one had ginge hair, and a weird face it had all been stitched back up, so i decided to grab them and take them with us the bride one for my little sister and the other one for my little brother, we noticed that the male doll talked he said his name was chucky, and then the other one talked, so we drove on then our friends on the back seat fell asleep, and when we got to crystal lake, our friends where dead freddy had been released and he jumped out at us so we called jason and we watched them scrap to the death, then we went back to elm street, to get on with our normal lifes, when we got back i gave the dolls to my brother and sister, they loved them to bits, then we found them in bits with the rest of elm street, we know live under police protection

The Grudge is the best bet on that.............
Amityville Horror is loosely based on what really happened in the house. I never heard Poltergeist was based on anything. Most movies that say they are based on a true story are very loosely based on stories told that may not necessarily be true.
