How much of The Haunting In Connecticut was true?

In the movie, it says that ths film was 'based on true events'.

So which parts of the movie were true? Does anyone know?

And please don't say 'all of it' because I am honestly not that stupid =P

Thanks. How much of The Haunting In Connecticut was true?
Most of the movie is overly exaggerated but if you want to see the true events and the real people that experienced it go to the discovery channel and watch the real documentary:

According to the Discovery Channel's ';A Haunting ';, the story is true. I haven't seen the movie but I have seen the segment that was shown on ';A Haunting';.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I do believe it was based on a true story.

EMT
None of it was true.

The family that all of this supposedly happened to was incredibly sketchy with the details. They all told different stories and they had a repeated history of drug abuse.

It was made up.
i heard that the pictures that they had of the ectoplasm coming out of the boys mouth was true and the crazy dude and the assistant was real, i think everytime they saw one of the spirits was based on true events
I think that the whole thing is based on the plot of what really happened,,and the director or whoever added more to make it scarier.
all of it......jk. I personally think its all fiction, but apparently the family saw a demon smiling in a tuxedo and a couple of sick looking ghost. They both went away soon
