Do you think the haunting in Connecticut was based on a true story?

Why would all of them have the same exact story and keep a hoax going for 20+ years?

Does this mean all funeral homes are haunted? and maybe they only haunt certain families?Do you think the haunting in Connecticut was based on a true story?
Yes it was based on a true story, it says that in the very beginning of the movie.

No it doesn't mean all funeral homes are haunted.

Remember, it was only BASED off of a true story. Not everything in the movie may be true.Do you think the haunting in Connecticut was based on a true story?
If you watch the bonus features to the movie the neghbors and friends that knew the family at that time claim that they felt it was all a hoax. a perfect example of a haunting that was just finally made a hoax was the amityville horror. again in this situation once the haunted people left there was no more hauntings. its a way to make money. 15 minutes of fame. the conn. family claims they did not do this for money or fame but each time it was them that contacted the news media and discovery. also you know its a crock because in the documentry they said they had lorraine warren in on the case too (not portrayed in the movie) the warrens are scammers. and liars. they also investigated the amityville house too. they say the same thing all the time in every home.
I think it was based on a true story, unless you don't believe in ghosts. I don't think all funeral homes are haunted but the ghosts would probably get mad if you tried to bring them together; seance. I'm not sure if they haunt particular families, probably not. Or maybe by your religion or race.
Its ';based on a true story';. So, they had to add some things in to make the movie more interesting. You can watch the Discovery channel documentary for the true story. Its broken into 9 parts on youtube. Here is the first part.
NOT ALL FUNERAL HOMES ARE HAUNTED

but i think part of it is true..but like alll hollywood movies they had to strech the truth
