Is it true that hadrians wall is haunted by roman legions?

heard a tale about two people who were camping at plankey mill, one woke up in the night and seen romans walking through their tent.Is it true that hadrians wall is haunted by roman legions?
Yes, I've heard that also. I think it's more residual haunting rather than ghosts or spirits 'stuck' there. It's moments in time, Roman soldiers marching, that's playing over and over again. If you're there at the right time, you can catch a glimpse. Too cool!

My father and grandparents came from Wallsend and I spent a great deal of time in Northumberland as a child and teenager. I didn't hear much in the way of folklore about hauntings on the wall, and I have walked and explored all of it at one time or another.

If any of you get to Vindolanda Roman fort at Chesterholme, go down the hill to the museum. They have a recreation of a temple to the water nymphs, but they also have the most wonderful memorial plaque set into a stone just outside the museum. It is dedicated to all of the Roman soldiers who served in the area.

There was a tale about some American tourists a few years back out on the moors when some mist came down. All of a sudden, they heard chanting in a foreign language: ';Sinister! Dexter!'; repeated over and over. All of a sudden, about a dozen Roman legionaries appeared out of the mist, walked straight past them, completely ignoring them, and disappeared into the mist again. When they related this to the landlord of the pub they were staying at he burst out laughing. What they had seen was one of teh Roman re-enactment groups doing some trining for a local event.
It's possible. I do remember an old tale of a farm labourer back in the 1800s who claimed to have seen something near Hadrian's Wall, but not sure of exactly where. There are supposed to be ghostly Roman soldiers marching through the cellar of a building in York (It was ground level in their time, but obviously York has become built up in the many centuries since then so they're below the modern streets)
There have been rumors about sitings and some people have claimed this. Alot of places associated with Roman soldiers battles and other soldiers and castles are which are steeped in history. have many sitings of ghosts.
No idea, but only one way to found out; camping near it + video camera. Sounds fun, unfortunately I don't live in England, nor nowhere near Europe.

Crap! :(
No, it isn't.
